Hand & Stone Community Attends Wellness Festival in East Windsor Target Parking Lot

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa Hosts Free Wellness Festival in East Windsor, NJ

Hand &Stone, the fastest growing massage and facial spa in the country, along with franchisee Umesh Bhatia, will be hosting The Wellness Festival on Saturday, June 28 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., in an effort to increase community involvement and health initiatives. The free event will take place at the Target Shopping Center at 72 Princeton-Highstown Rd. in East Windsor, New Jersey and is open to the public.

Touting the slogan, “Enlighten, Embrace, Empower,” The Wellness Festival is a full day of free activities and wellness seminars from industry experts. Attendees can take advantage of several workshops from well-recognized experts in the health field, who will be on-hand to discuss topics ranging from natural health, to body fat composition to Jyothi meditation.  

Events Include:
·         With 20+ years of expert practice and training, Dr. Dave Wendel of the Natural Health and Wellness Center will be conducting health care screenings covering blood pressure checks, body mass index, body fat analysis, stress analysis and sharing breast cancer information.

·         Retro Fitness’ Expert Trainers will demonstrate total-body workouts, boot camps and offer Body Fat Composition analysis in addition to answering fitness questions. Retro will showcase the latest in health club equipment and classes.

·         Sprayology offers the latest advancement in homeopathic and vitamin oral sprays, and will be in attendance to demonstrate how attendees can deal with health issues using homeopathy.

·         Jim Rose, M. Ed, a retired top executive from Johnson & Johnson, has been a meditation practitioner and international speaker for more than 30 years. As a member of the Science of Spirituality, a global non-profit, non-denominational organization, Jim will lead hands-on workshops focused on Jyothi meditation and spirituality, and their application to daily life.

·         Additionally, Hand & Stone will be conducting free chair massages, free skin scans, and offering the latest in facial care advice. Brand experts will provide guidance on the various types of massages and facial care services to best benefit the body.

Refreshments will be provided and the event will conclude with a raffle for wellness products.

Hand & Stone featured in NJ Biz

Hand & Stone was recently featured in the NJ Biz titled, "Hamilton-based spa chain expands for business clients."  In the article, Todd Leff, Hand & Stone president and CEO, discusses how Hand & Stone is experiencing increased interest and use of their services partly because they offer corporate memberships and that Hand & Stone will be focusing on growth in North Jersey in 2012, with an established base of 20 locations in the state. The article also mentions Umesh and Archie Bhatia who opened an East Windsor location in November and that they are planning to open a second location as a result of the early success of their franchise. As companies expand wellness programs as part of their benefit packages, Hamilton-based Hand & Stone spas is adding franchises rapidly and encouraging human resource teams to include massage therapy when considering employee resources.

President and CEO Todd Leff joined Hand & Stone in 2009, working with founder John Marco to develop expanded franchising plans for New Jersey’s middle market. The company has focused on developing locations in major retail centers, mostly in “bedroom communities,” with extended hours in order to make the company’s services more convenient for professionals.'

The article details the ribbon cutting ceremony attended by the mayor of East Windsor, Janice Mironov, as well as Hand & Stone Corporation CEO Todd Leff, Founder and COO John Marco and Vice President of Operations Debbie Worton and Mercer Chamber of Commerce Chairperson Michael Cano. Also attending the ceremony were Hand & Stone Corporation CEO Todd Leff, Founder and COO John Marco and Vice President of Operations Debbie Worton and Mercer Chamber of Commerce Chairperson Michael Cano.

Hand & Stone was recently featured in the Times of Trenton in an article titled, "Massage spa opens in East Windsor." The article details the ribbon cutting ceremony that the mayor of East Windsor, Janice Mironov, attended as well as the services that Hand & Stone provides and information about Umesh and Archana Bhatia’s store location. Township officials gathered recently to welome the newest business, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, at the East Windsor Village Shopping Center.

The business is one of 60 massage and facial spas run by the Hand & Stone Corp. of Hamilton, which has 19 spas in New Jersey.
